Software Engineer I at SmartRent

Austin White started working as a Software Engineer I at SmartRent in March 2021. In this role, they are responsible for developing the main Resident Android apps for both SmartRent and Alloy Smart Home, using Native Android and React Native. Before joining SmartRent, Austin worked as a Research Assistant at California State University, Stanislaus from May 2019 to May 2020. During this time, they built a chatbot using Amazon Web Services for a professor to use in their classroom. Austin set up a cloud-based server and a stack for the chatbot, allowing easy training and maintenance by the professor.

Austin White attended California State University, Stanislaus from 2014 to 2020, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in English. In addition to their degree, they obtained various certifications, including AT&T Summer Learning Academy Extern from AT&T in July 2020, Google Cloud Platform Big Data and Machine Learning Fundamentals from Google Cloud | G Suite in September 2019, Google Cloud Platform Fundamentals: Core Infrastructure from Google Cloud | G Suite in September 2019, Amazon Web Services: Storage and Data Management from LinkedIn in June 2019, Building Intelligent Chatbots on AWS from LinkedIn in June 2019, and Learning Amazon Web Services Lambda from LinkedIn in June 2019.
