Willy Lai

Growth Lead at SmartUp

Willy Lai is the current Growth Lead at SmartUp. Prior to that, they were a Business Development Executive at the Singapore Manufacturing Federation Center for Corporate Learning from July 2018 to November 2019. Willy has also interned at the Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology from January 2013 to December 2013.

At the Singapore Manufacturing Federation Center for Corporate Learning, Willy was responsible for administering the Global Ready Talent Program (GRT). Willy was also tasked with marketing and outreach to companies and schools to promote GRT, as well as the design of sales brochures and pull-up banners for GRT. Willy was successful in achieving over 300% of KPI targets set by Enterprise Singapore for GRT. Willy also assisted with the planning and launch of the Digital Transformation Internship, and sold government-funded programs such as the Professional Conversion Program (PCP) and PMAX.

Willy has also contributed to the development of sales kits for Flexi-Work Arrangement (FWA) grants, slides and research for the Master Trainer of “Business Modelling Towards Industry 4.0” training program, and the design of sales brochure and pull-up banners for “Business Modelling Towards Industry 4.0” training program.

Willy Lai has a Bachelor of Science from Newcastle University in Food & Human Nutrition. Willy also has a Diploma in Biotechnology from Singapore Polytechnic. Their secondary education is from Jurongville Secondary School where they completed their GCE 'O' Level. Willy is also certified from ICAgile in Agile Team Facilitation.
