Mike Ferry

Mike Ferry serves as the Director of Energy Storage & Systems at the UC San Diego Center for Energy Research since June 2018 and also co-founded Smartville Inc. in February 2019, acting as a Strategic Advisor. Previously, as Chief Operating Officer of Oxygen Initiative from March 2016 to June 2018, Mike oversaw daily operations and long-term strategies in the electric vehicle charging industry, establishing important partnerships with major automotive and utility companies. Their earlier roles include Senior Manager at the Center for Sustainable Energy, where Mike directed clean energy initiatives and expanded the Transportation Department, leading the California Air Resources Board Clean Vehicle Rebate Project. Mike also has experience as a Renewable Fuels Consultant and an Environmental Planner, holding a Master’s degree in Energy and Resources from the University of California, Berkeley.
