Steve Carter has over 20 years of experience in the consumer electronics industry. Steve is currently the Head of Export Sales at Smartwares Group. Prior to this, they worked at O2 (Telefónica UK) as a Commercial Marketing & Financing Manager, where they were responsible for P&L, Propositions, and GTM. Steve also led the launch of hardware financing for O2. Before that, Steve held various roles at BT Group, including Head of TV, Smart & IOT Device Portfolio, and Head of Product Management BT TV Devices. Steve managed device portfolios, strategy, selection, and commercials for both BT and EE brands. Additionally, Steve has experience at TP Vision as the Head of Sales Retail, Philips TV, and at Best Buy as the Category Lead for TV, Home Theatre & Audio. Steve started their career at Philips and House of Fraser in various buying and merchandising roles.
Steve Carter has a diverse education history. In 1990, they attended the London College of Communication, University of the Arts London, where they obtained a Higher National Diploma in Business Studies. In 1996, they participated in the Oxford Summer School Academy at Keble College in the University of Oxford, focusing on Retail Management. In 2002, Steve enrolled in the Business Strategy Management Programme at Alliance Manchester Business School.
