Operations Manager at Smarty

Jefferson Barrett is the current Operations Manager at Smarty. Jefferson has over ten years of experience in customer service and managing operations. Prior to working at Smarty, Barrett worked as an Eligibility Specialist with the State of Utah DWS from June 2004 to December 2012. In this role, they were responsible for conducting investigative interviews, interpreting and applying complex policies, and assisting in the launch of the Agency’s new software program eRep. Barrett was recognized for their accuracy and timeliness in performing job duties and making decisions in a self-supervised environment.

Prior to working at the State of Utah DWS, Barrett worked as the Director of Imaging RESD at Zions Bancorporation from February 2002 to June 2004. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing the imaging department and ensuring that all images were captured accurately and efficiently. Barrett was able to quickly master agency-specific software applications and assisted others in learning these applications.

Jefferson Barrett's educational career began with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Composite Major Computer Applications/Networking from Southern Utah University.
