Susana Canizes

Susana Canizes is an experienced HR professional currently serving as HR Director at SMAS de Almada since March 2023, with previous roles including Head of People Management & Development and HR Manager focusing on Employee Relations and People Administration. Prior to this, Susana worked at Instituto Português da Qualidade as HR Manager and at Arsenal do Alfeite, S.A. as the Chief of Division of Human Resources and Chief of Division of People Management. Additional experience includes serving as Chief of Division of Human Resources and Jurist for Human Resources at the Secretaria-Geral do Ministério da Defesa Nacional, and as a Lieutenant and Jurist in the Portuguese Army from 2003 to 2010. Susana holds an Executive MBA in Human Resources Management from Universidade Lusíada de Lisboa and UPMind - Formação Avançada.
