Parag Gupta

Parag Gupta, PhD, is a seasoned engineering executive with extensive experience in consulting and product development. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Parix Enterprises LLC since October 2016, Gupta provides expert consulting services to notable clients including Caterpillar, Toyota, and Deloitte, specializing in medical device design, product development, and innovation strategies. Previous roles include Executive Advisor at SMA, Inc., and Head of R&D for Medical Devices at Toyota North America, where Gupta led the launch of a medical device company and developed electro-mechanical devices. Gupta also held significant positions at Alcon, a Novartis Division, and Stryker Instruments, achieving substantial improvements in product development processes and cost savings. Educated at Iowa State University (PhD), the University of Manitoba (MS), and the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (BS), Gupta possesses a robust background in mechanical engineering and manufacturing science.
