Kate Drews

Kate is the Director of Urban and Energy for SMEC, leading a diverse, talented team of over 300 specialists across the country. Kate is a senior executive with more than 25 years’ experience in the property, construction and infrastructure sectors and is also a Director on the Board of SMEC Australia and the Board of Consult Australia. Kate has successfully lead programs of significant organisational change both for clients and previous employers.

Kate has experience in business planning, mergers and acquisitions, organisational restructuring and risk management. She is passionate about technical excellence, client service and gender diversity within our industry. A Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Kate is also the SMEC Australia Board champion for sustainability. She is a graduate of the Cambridge Institute of Sustainability Leadership and holds a Master of Commerce from the University of New South Wales.
