Kate Drews serves as the Regional Head for Australia and New Zealand at Surbana Jurong Group and is the Chair of the Global Sustainability Council of Excellence. Professional achievements include advocating for gender pay parity, drafting board papers on ESG and AI in engineering, and managing substantial teams across various projects and services. Additional leadership positions include Non-Executive Board Member at Powerlink Queensland, Risk and Audit Committee Member at Healthy Land & Water, and President of the Queensland Military Historical Society. Kate has also contributed to Consult Australia as a Non-Executive Director, focusing on governance and advocacy within the industry. An advocate for gender equity in STEM, Kate has held significant roles throughout their career, including prior positions at AECOM and GHD, and possesses a strong educational background with degrees from UNSW and specializations in sustainability and governance.
