Ashish Powle

Ashish Powle currently serves as EVP & Chief Credit Officer at SMFG India Credit since November 2024. Prior to this role, Ashish held the position of Executive Vice President - Head Credit Risk for Retail, MSME, Rural, and Digital portfolios at Bank of Baroda from October 2022 to November 2024. Ashish also served as SVP - Head Credit Risk for Retail Commercial and SME at HDFC Bank from June 2021 to October 2022 and was Vice President - National Credit Manager at Axis Bank from September 2019 to June 2021. Earlier experience includes leading Rural Credit and Business Operations at L&T Finance from September 2014 to September 2019. Ashish is a Chartered Accountant, having completed education at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, and also holds a CAIIB degree from the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance.
