Derek DeWitt has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Derek started their career at The Home Depot in 2002 as a Sales Associate. During their time there, they played a vital role in inventory management and achieved excellent work efficiency. Derek also cross-trained in various departments, including the garden, tool rental center, lumber, and backup cashier.

In 2008, Derek joined SMG - Service Management Group as a Senior Business Analyst/Solution Analyst. Derek gained proficiency in eliciting, analyzing, specifying, and validating business needs for clients and internal project managers. Derek excelled in documenting product content and specifications, as well as managing and coordinating projects. Derek held this role until 2018.

From 2018 to 2020, Derek served as an Implementation Manager at SMG. Derek was responsible for onboarding and rolling out newly signed clients, ensuring successful data integrations, and conducting end-to-end testing. Derek's strong project management skills helped him adhere to launch timelines and deliver exceptional results.

In 2020, Derek transitioned to the role of Product Owner/Survey Team Lead at SMG. In this position, they supported the development and launch of the company's primary survey product. With a focus on aligning the product with stakeholder and end-user priorities, Derek successfully drove sales, improved efficiency, and enhanced customer satisfaction. Derek worked in an agile method with two-week sprint cycles.

In 2022, Derek became the Manager of Client Operations at SMG, leading a team of 11 associates. In this role, they were responsible for client deliverables, resolving technical issues, and providing program consulting. Derek's expertise in creating and optimizing workflows within a software with a service (SwaS) environment contributed to the department's success.

Throughout their career, Derek has demonstrated strong leadership, project management, and analytical skills. Derek'sability to adapt to different roles and industries has made him a valuable asset in the organizations they have worked for.

Derek DeWitt pursued their education at Park University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration, Management and Operations from 2004 to 2008. Additionally, they also completed a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a field of study in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services from the same institution, spanning from 2006 to 2008.
