Senior Product Manager at SMG

Reuben James has a diverse work experience starting from 2009 to the present. Reuben has worked at multiple companies, including SMG - Service Management Group, Ascend Learning, and Service Management Group.

At SMG - Service Management Group, Reuben worked as a Research Analyst from June 2009 to April 2012. In this role, they provided analysis and actionable insights to more than 25 clients, integrating customer, employee, and financial data using statistical tools. Reuben also demonstrated the ability to incorporate customer data, business metrics, and staffing metrics to provide ROI for investing in employee and customer satisfaction.

After that, Reuben joined Ascend Learning in April 2012 and worked as a Psychometric Research Associate until October 2013. During this time, they conducted various analyses related to the production of assessments and certification exams, optimizing Psychometric processes by creating automated spreadsheets and written procedures. Reuben also gathered data to identify inefficiencies and reduce workload.

Following this, Reuben became a Research Specialist at Ascend Learning from October 2013 to May 2016. In this role, they managed two distinct online research panels, developed surveys, and conducted all aspects of survey development, deployment, data extraction, and analysis. Reuben summarized and presented the results to internal stakeholders.

Reuben returned to SMG - Service Management Group in June 2016 and served as an Associate Director of Strategic Operations until December 2017. In this position, they utilized their skills in research analysis and provided assistance in various strategic operations.

Reuben then transitioned to the role of Director of Client Insights at SMG - Service Management Group from January 2018 to December 2019. Reuben managed client insights and used data to drive strategic decision-making.

Later, Reuben became an Associate Director of Client Success from January 2020 to May 2021, and then Director of Client Success from May 2021 to March 2022 at SMG - Service Management Group. In these roles, they ensured client satisfaction and success through effective communication and problem-solving.

Currently, Reuben is working at SMG - Service Management Group as a Director of Solution Engineer since March 2022, and starting from January 2023, they will be serving as a Product Manager.

Reuben James holds a B.A. in Psychology from The University of Alabama in Huntsville. Additionally, they completed an M.S. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at Missouri State University.
