Doruk Sırtıoğlu

Doruk Sırtıoğlu has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Doruk began their career in 2013 with an internship at the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service, where they conducted research on agricultural and fishery production. In 2015, they interned at EY in their Performance Improvement department, focusing on digital transformation in the FMCG industry.

In 2016, Doruk joined Coface for a part-time internship, supporting data entry for debtor risk assessment. At the same time, they also started working as a Risk Management Consultant at Prometeia, where they provided risk management consulting services.

From 2013 to 2016, Doruk was actively involved with Koç University, initially as a Student Mentor, where they mentored new students and tracked their progress. Later, they served as a Photographer for Corporate Communications, providing photoshoots for academic conferences and collaborating on social media projects.

In 2019, Doruk joined Yapi Kredi Bank Nederland NV as a Market Risk Specialist, responsible for delivering reports and developing risk models related to interest rate risk, liquidity risk, and market risk.

In 2020, they transitioned to Rabobank as a Risk Data Analyst, where they worked until 2021. Doruk then moved to the role of Data Scientist - Economic Research and Projections at Rabobank, focusing on consumer transactions modeling within the energy prices context using Python, Hive, and PySpark.

Additionally, Doruk has recently taken on a freelance role as a Photographer at Smiler, showcasing their skills in photography.

Doruk Sırtıoğlu completed their Bachelor's degree in Economics at Koç University from 2012 to 2016. During their time there, in 2015, they participated in the Erasmus Program at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, focusing on Business Administration and Management. Prior to their university education, from 2007 to 2012, Doruk attended The Koç School, where they pursued Mathematics and Science as their field of study in high school. After completing their undergraduate degree, they went on to pursue a Master of Science in Economics at Tilburg University from 2018 to 2019, specializing in Behavioral Economics. In terms of additional certifications, Doruk obtained a certification in Learn Web Scraping with Beautiful Soup Course from Codecademy in January 2023 and also completed a Leadership Development Programme at ROOTS INSPIRE in November 2022.
