Amit Durve possesses extensive experience in maritime operations, primarily with SMIT Salvage since October 2014, where responsibilities have included innovative management of maritime emergencies as an Assistant Salvage Master, overseeing project planning, cost control, and manpower management. Previous roles include serving as a 2nd Officer and 3rd Officer with various companies, including Chevron Shipping LLC and American Eagle Tankers, where duties encompassed navigation and dry docking on vessels, and working with diverse multinational crews. Amit holds a Higher Nautical Diploma in Nautical Studies from South Tyneside Marine College and a Diploma in Nautical Studies from Singapore Polytechnic, highlighting a solid educational background in the field.
