George Jernigan

George Jernigan is the current Head of Agent Operations at Smith.ai. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Regional Operations Manager at Uber from June 2014 to June 2020. In this role, they oversaw in-person support operations for the Midwest, New England, and Pennsylvania regions. George was also responsible for managing a multi-layered team of 125 people by setting strategy, goals, and implementing new processes to achieve KPIs (supply growth, financial, efficiency, and CSAT) and strengthen the driver network. Additionally, they were responsible for a $14 million budget and a real estate portfolio footprint consisting of 14 properties ranging from 1,500-25,000 sqft.

Before Uber, George Jernigan worked as a Capital Markets Analyst at Phillips Edison & Company from June 2013 to June 2014. In this role, they researched and subsequently helped to formulate an appropriate capital structure of multiple private funds and non-traded REITs. George was also responsible for ongoing compliance with senior credit facilities and improved processes around the monthly/quarterly review of requirements, calculations, and certifications. Additionally, they assisted in the negotiations and bank requests of a $350 million unsecured revolving credit facility.

George Jernigan's first professional role was as an Investor Relations Analyst at Fifth Third Bank from June 2010 to June 2013.

George Jernigan's educational career would include earning a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Dayton.
