Mario Valentini

Mario Valentini is the current principal at Smith Seckman Reid, Inc. Mario has over 15 years of experience in the construction industry. Prior to joining Smith Seckman Reid, Inc., Mario worked as a general electrical superintendent at Kiewit from November 2006 to August 2015. In this role, they managed a team responsible for the full electrical construction scope on two large-scale power generation projects. Mario also developed and implemented project procedures for both the office and field. Mario's responsibilities included safety, quality, schedule, cost, production, subcontractor management, startup support, union relations, and owner/client interface. Mario had oversight for 130,000 man-hours in the field.

Before joining Kiewit, Mario was the owner of Rock Solid Construction from August 2005 to November 2006. In this role, they managed all aspects of the small construction company including sales, estimating, client relations, accounting, record-keeping, and installation. Mario also secured and executed contracts for residential, commercial, and industrial fencing.

Mario has a proven track record of success in the construction industry. Mario is a highly motivated individual with strong leadership skills. Mario is a team player who is always looking for ways to improve processes and procedures.

Mario Valentini's educational career includes a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Mario is also certified by the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs - Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists as a Professional Engineer (PE) in California. In addition, they are certified by the Kentucky State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Kentucky. Mario is also certified by the State of Tennessee as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Tennessee. Furthermore, they are certified by the Kentucky Department of Housing, Buildings, & Construction as a Master Electrician in Kentucky. Additionally, they are certified by the Colorado State Electrical Board as a Master Electrician in Colorado. Additionally, they are certified by the Tennessee Board for Licensing Contractors as a Tennessee Electrical Contractor - (CE) - Qualifying Agent. Finally, they are certified by the State of Tennessee as an Engineer in Training (EIT).

Mario Valentini reports to Steve Lane, CEO & President. They are on a team with Alex Ray - Principal, Roger Perkins - Principal, and Seth Spangler - Principal.
