Scott Colston

Scott Colston, CPA, has extensive experience in accounting and education. Currently serving as Controller and previously as Accounting Manager at Smith Turf & Irrigation since August 2018, Scott has played significant roles in financial management. Prior experience includes positions as a Young Professionals Cabinet Member at the North Carolina Association of CPAs from January 2016 to January 2019, and as Audit Senior and Staff Accountant at BGW CPA, PLLC from September 2014 to August 2018. Earlier career endeavors involved tutoring mathematics at Education Solutions, LLC, and teaching high school mathematics at Taylor County School District and Cobb County Schools. Scott holds a Master of Accountancy from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Virginia Tech.
