Paul Dean

Paul Dean has over 14 years of work experience in the procurement and strategic sourcing industry. Paul currently serves as the Vice President of Strategic Sourcing at Smithfield Foods since September 2021. Prior to this, they were the Head of NA Procurement - Packaging at The Kraft Heinz Company from May 2020 to September 2021.

Before joining The Kraft Heinz Company, Paul worked at Smithfield Foods in various roles. Paul was the Director of Strategic Sourcing from December 2016 to May 2020 and the Strategic Sourcing Category Manager for Ingredients/Packaging from July 2013 to December 2016.

Paul also gained experience as the Packaging Category Manager at Ferrara Candy Company from June 2012 to July 2013. Paul started their career at Smithfield Foods as a Strategic Sourcing Analyst from 2010 to 2012 and later became a Buyer in Packaging from 2008 to 2010.

Before joining Smithfield Foods, Paul worked as an Associate Accountant at JMFG - Smithfield Foods from April 2007 to April 2008.

Paul Dean attended the University of Minnesota from 2002 to 2005, studying Business Administration and Management. Paul then went on to Aurora University in 2005 and completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Business in 2006.
