Mark Ginther

Mark Ginther currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Strategy at SmithGeiger Group, a position held since February 2023. Prior to this role, Ginther was the Director of News and Operations at Sinclair Broadcast Group from February 2019 to February 2023. Ginther has extensive experience in news leadership, including a significant tenure as Vice President/News at KXAS-TV, where the station achieved notable growth in ratings and audience engagement and received a Peabody Award for Investigative Reporting. Earlier positions include Executive News Director at KING-TV and various roles in leadership at WFAA Media, WHO-TV, and KSTP TV and Radio. Ginther earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, Journalism, and Related Programs from the University of St. Thomas.
