Bonnie Khang-Keating whose dedication to architecture spans three decades of a career that began at the age of 15. Bonnie's unique aptitude for business, coupled with her eye for design, has brought her to her current role as office director for SmithGroup's Los Angeles and San Diego offices. While expanding the firm's portfolio and staff in southern California, she realizes the importance of creating an office culture that remains entrepreneurial, diverse, and fun. Bonnie is a recognized leader in the local design community serving as a design commissioner for the city of Pasadena and a cultural heritage commissioner for the city of Los Angeles. But between her myriad of awards, speaking engagements, project nominations, and business ventures, she puts quality design first even if it means adding another 10 minutes to her traffic-heavy commute to drive past Walt Disney Concert Hall, a building that continues to serve as a reminder of why she launched herself into the industry 25 years ago.
