Matthew Carpenter has a long and varied work experience. Matthew began their career in 1997 as a Volleyball Coach at BYU-Idaho, Timpview HS, and Club, where they were responsible for freshman through Varsity programs, achieving at least 80% wins each year and a 3rd place finish at State in 2003. In 2004, they began working at Utah Community Credit Union as a Senior Trainer/Loan Officer/Member Services Specialist, where they were promoted to the Training Department after one year and then to Senior Trainer after another year. In 2006, they began working at Zions Bancorporation as a Manager/Supervisor/Business Analyst, where they sold over 50 new ATMs to affiliate banks, managed installation of each machine, and was awarded Team of the Month in March 2006 and a coworker nominated award for excellence in February 2007. In 2015, they began working at Above and Beyond Property Management as a Manager. In 2016, they began working at Big Sky Chimney as a Junior Partner. In 2017, they began working at Magellan Health as an Account Manager. Finally, in 2021, they began working at SmithRx as a Customer Success Manager, where they are leading the next evolution of PBMs with a value-driven approach.

Matthew Carpenter obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English/Language Arts Teacher Education from Brigham Young University between 1998 and 2002. Matthew also completed a BA in English from Teaching Brigham Young University between 2000 and 2002.
