Michael Barker

Michael Barker has extensive experience in information technology and security, currently serving as Chief Information Security Officer at Smiths Group plc since July 2013, where responsibilities include direct oversight of information security and cyber compliance for a multinational conglomerate. Previously, Michael held the position of Deputy Chief Information Officer at DRS Technologies, focusing on the C3 & Aviation division from October 2010 to April 2013, and earlier served as Director of Information Technology at Smiths Group, plc from June 2001 to August 2010, leading global IT services. Additional roles include Vice President of Information Technology at eLink Communications and Federal Operations Planning Manager at Bell Atlantic Business Systems Services. Michael holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Networks and Security from the University of Maryland Global Campus.
