Viraj P.

Viraj P. serves as the Group Head of Internal Controls at Smiths Group plc since December 2019, leading a comprehensive controls transformation program in alignment with UK Corporate Reform, which encompasses strategy development, stakeholder alignment, governance structure setup, and the implementation of a global GRC tool. Prior to this role, Viraj P. was the Head of Internal Audit responsible for technology, process, and program assurance across the group. Viraj P. has a diverse background in technology and digital risk at Deloitte UK, starting as a Consultant and advancing to the Senior Manager position. Additionally, Viraj P. contributed as a Governor at Queniborough Church of England Primary School from October 2021 to September 2023. Academic qualifications include a Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering from the University of Nottingham and A-levels in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, and Business Studies from John Cleveland College.
