Amy Bower Bahr currently serves as the Head of Public Programs at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden since January 2023, having previously held the position of Public Engagement Manager at the same institution since January 2015. In these roles, Amy develops and implements the museum's programs calendar in alignment with exhibitions and art world trends, collaborating with various departments and professionals in the arts. Prior experience includes positions at The Phillips Collection as a Museum Assistant/Supervisor, at Hirshhorn Museum as an Education/Curatorial Intern, and several roles focused on logistics and management in museums such as the Peggy Guggenheim Collection and Memphis Brooks Museum of Art. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Modern and Contemporary Art from Christie's Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and Archaeology from Rhodes College.
