Maureen Leary

Maureen Leary is an experienced education professional currently serving as the Director of the Department of Education & Visitor Experience at the Smithsonian Institution since July 2020. Prior to this role, Maureen held various positions including Youth & Family Programs Manager and Early Learning Programs Manager at the Smithsonian Institution. Maureen's extensive tenure at the Smithsonian Early Enrichment Center from June 1998 to June 2020 included roles as Director and Educator. Maureen holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Georgetown University and a Master of Education in Educational Psychology from the University of Virginia.
