Steve Paton has over three decades of experience in ecological monitoring and research. Currently serving as the Director of the Physical Monitoring Program at the Smithsonian Institution since January 1991, Steve has been instrumental in advancing climate monitoring initiatives. Prior to this role, Steve worked as a Thesis Advisor and Climate Monitoring Director at the Charles Darwin Research Center from May 1988 to January 1991. Educated at The University of British Columbia, Steve earned a Master of Science in Ecology, following a Bachelor's degree in Biology from McMaster University.
