Edik Shovkovyi

Edik Shovkovyi has worked in the software engineering field since 2015. Edik began their career at Upwork, where they worked as a firmware engineer and computer vision consultant. From 2018-2021, they held various software engineering positions at Digital Factory Marketing Agency, iConnect, Intvo, and VAIS Technology. At Digital Factory, Edik researched and tested prediction models with a Python stack using machine learning regress and natural language processing techniques, developed a configurable model backtesting system, and designed and developed up to 5 applications projects per year. At iConnect, they worked on software for visual analytics, analyzed data from measurements, and helped businesses with their cyber security, network security, and computer security. At Intvo, they built an image processing library, designed a pedestrian detection model, implemented a back end that performs ETL, machine learning modeling, and served the results via an API, and used a cloud computing framework for paralleling the calculations. At VAIS Technology, they edited and modified an open source Node-Red software for proprietary use, implemented machine learning methods to minimize the digital ad cost, provided consulting/technical expertise to clients, and created new terraform managed AWS EKS Kubernetes clusters (multi-region). In 2021, they began working as an Embedded Software Engineer at smoodi.

Edik Shovkovyi obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Kharkiv National University of Radioelectronics between 2012 and 2017. In 2020, they obtained a Python Certificate from HackerRank, and in 2021 they obtained a Problem Solving certification from HackerRank.
