Chow Wai Yein

Mr Chow Wai Yein oversees the company’s Safety, Security, Cybersecurity and Quality policies and governance. He also oversees the Business Continuity Management policy and works closely with all business units to ensure minimal disruptions to our operations as Singapore transits to a COVID-resilient nation. He is concurrently Vice President, Training.

Prior to his current appointment, Mr Chow was Head, Bukit Panjang LRT and Vice President, Training. As Head, Bukit Panjang LRT, he led the team to deliver exemplary standards of rail reliability, safety, customer service as well as the daily operations and maintenance. Before joining SMRT, he was with the SAF and subsequently with LTA.

Mr Chow holds a Bachelor in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the Nanyang Technological University, and a Master of Science in Logistics Management from the Florida Institute of Technology.
