Eric Bassett

Eric Bassett is a Senior Automation Engineer at SMS group Inc. since February 2021, previously serving as a Data Scientist at Metis for a comprehensive 12-week data science bootcamp. Prior to that, Eric worked as an Engineer at SMS Siemag LLC from May 2014 to January 2020 and as an Electrical Engineer at Kaier Engineering, Inc. from October 2012 to May 2014, where Eric focused on designing, building, and installing custom automated machinery. Earlier experience includes a role as a Student Scientist at the Southwest Research Institute, engaging in simulations for the Lunar UV Reflectance Experiment, and as a Visiting Researcher at the University of Tennessee, working on autonomous protein control in bacteria. Eric holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Science from Trinity University, earned from 2008 to 2012.
