Mark Hamilton

Mark Hamilton has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple companies and roles. Mark started their career in 2001 as a Project Manager at Pfizer. Later on, they joined Scotrenewables Tidal Power Ltd and held various positions including Project Engineer, Chief Technical Officer, and Managing Director. During their time at Scotrenewables, they successfully delivered the world's first large-scale grid-connected floating tidal turbine. In 2015, Mark co-founded Solo Energy, an energy storage business focused on a renewable future, and served as the Managing Director until 2019 when it was acquired by SMS Plc. Since then, they have been the Managing Director of the Solo Energy team at SMS Plc, leading the company's efforts in delivering financed decarbonization solutions to domestic and commercial clients.

Mark Hamilton attended the University of Limerick from 1999 to 2003 and earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Mechanical Engineering. Prior to that, they attended St. Colman's College in Fermoy, Cork, but there is no information about any degree or field of study.
