Ryan Flaherty

Ryan Flaherty started their work experience in 2004 as a Messenger at Kelly and Berens, P.A. During this time, they learned a lot about the legal system, copy/fax machines, high stress environments, and navigating downtown Minneapolis. In 2006, they had an internship at Quiz Full Promotion in Brasil, where they learned new skills with Flash, 3D Studio Max, and Photoshop. Ryan also improved their Portuguese and enjoyed the office hospitality. In 2007, Ryan became the Director of Communications at SMTA - Surface Mount Technology Association. In this role, they were responsible for website management, marketing, BookStore, publishing the technical journal, press relations, and IT. Ryan gained a well-rounded understanding of association workings, marketing, SMT, and the electronics assembly industry.

From 2001 to 2007, Ryan Flaherty attended the University of Minnesota. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Individualized Studies (BIS) degree, focusing on Architectural Studies, Design, and Psychology.
