Galilea Escobedo

Galilea Escobedo is an experienced legal professional currently serving as an Article Editor and Staff Editor for the SMU Science and Technology Law Review since July 2023. Escobedo holds the position of Clinic Chief at the SMU Federal Tax Clinic from January 2024 and previously interned at Childers Hewett Slagle PLLC and the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts. Additional experience includes a role in the Global Contracts Team at Equinix, a Congressional Internship with the U.S. House of Representatives, work in the City of Houston Mayor's Office, and public relations at the Embassy of Mexico. Galilea Escobedo is a graduate of the SMU Dedman School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Government from the University of Houston, along with a high school diploma from Lamar High School.
