Richard Chung

Richard Chung is a seasoned professional in energy and business administration with extensive experience at SMUD since August 2016, currently serving as a Senior Power System Analyst. Richard's role involves supporting the evaluation and analysis of energy transactions, specifically processing and validating settlements for renewable energy contracts. Prior to SMUD, Richard held various positions at General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems, including Manager of Business Administration, where oversight of contractual agreements was key. Richard's earlier career at General Dynamics NASSCO as a Lead Program Financial Analyst focused on cost and schedule performance for high-value government and commercial contracts. Richard holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from UC San Diego.
