Kelly Metelewa Ceng Micheme Certibom

Kelly Metelewa CEng MIChemE CertIBOM currently serves as the Head of the Energy & Utilities Department at Smurfit Westrock, a position held since November 2023. Prior experience includes serving as the Energy & Utilities Team Lead at Smurfit Kappa since July 2022, and as Commissioning Plant Manager for BioMethane Asset G2G at AlternBio from November 2021 to June 2022. Previous roles also encompass Principal Legislation Engineer at Southern Water, Process Team Manager at Tate & Lyle Sugars, and Thermal Hydrolysis Operations Engineer at Thames Water. Additionally, Kelly Metelewa worked at Dangote Industries Limited in various engineering roles and was the Afro-Caribbean Society President during the academic tenure at the University of Huddersfield. Educational qualifications include a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry with Chemical Engineering from the University of Huddersfield and a foundation degree in Engineering and Computing from the University of Nottingham Malaysia.
