Daniel Newton

Daniel Newton has a diverse work experience in various software development roles. Daniel started their career as a Software Development Engineer at Mentor Graphics, where they worked on implementing enhancements and bug fixes for PCB design software. After that, they joined Dynetics, Inc. as a Software Engineer, where they designed and maintained UAV tactical decision-aid software. Daniel then moved to Sentar Inc. as a Full Stack Developer, leading the architecture and development of cloud-native cybersecurity solutions. Following that, they worked at Intrepid as a Senior Full Stack Developer, developing a cloud-native solution for a critical Army budget system. Currently, they are serving as a Cloud Development Team Lead at SMX, where they are responsible for leading the full stack architecture and development of mission-critical, cloud-native applications deployed in AWS. Overall, Daniel Newton has gained expertise in various technologies and has a strong background in full stack development, cloud deployment, and software architecture.

Daniel Newton holds a Master of Science (MSE) degree in Computer Engineering from The University of Alabama in Huntsville, as well as a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Engineering from the same institution. In addition to their academic achievements, they have obtained certifications in Amazon Web Services (AWS), including the Amazon Web Services Developer - Associate certification and the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification, both obtained in 2023.
