Tim Farrar has extensive work experience in various roles and industries.

Tim started their career in 2003 as a Co-Founder of Fat Frog Studios, LLC, where they created a casual game called Monster Smash.

Tim then worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Cambridge Interactive Development Corporation, where they supported and developed Everest Poker, an online poker application.

Later, they joined Sytosoft Corporation as a Senior Software Engineer, responsible for developing educational MMO Worlds of Orion and the online star registry Claim Your Star.

In 2011, they became a Senior Software Engineer at The MathWorks, working on user interface and graphics for Simulink, a block diagram environment.

From 2012 to 2014, Tim had a side-gig as a Principal Software Engineer for Warcloud, developing Android and iPhone clients for the social betting app. Tim also contributed to Pollur, an Android photosharing app.

Tim then worked as a Software Engineering Manager at GSN (TV & Games), managing a team of web developers and developing games in JavaScript, ActionScript, Perl, and PHP.

From 2015 to 2021, Tim worked at Vistaprint as a Technical Lead, responsible for architectural design, managing teams, and developing microservices and web clients.

In 2021, they joined Microsoft as a Senior Gameplay and Simulation Engineer, working on a project called Aries to improve NASA researchers' ability to investigate the effects of drone air taxi flights.

Currently, Tim is a Principal Simulation Engineer at SMX since 2022, utilizing their expertise to contribute in the field of simulation engineering.

Tim Farrar has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
