Tim Saxton

Tim Saxton is an experienced professional in human resources and operations, currently serving as the Director of HR and Operations at SMYAL since September 2018. Under Tim's leadership, the organization has established a Human Resources Department and implemented an employee life cycle model, resulting in a 220% increase in staffing to support at-risk youth services. Previously, Tim managed the opening of three youth houses at SMYAL, increasing available beds by 400%. Prior roles include positions as a Line Cook at Jewel Cafe and as Youth Center Coordinator at Defiance Area YMCA, where mentoring and engagement with youth were key responsibilities. Tim has also held leadership positions at YMCA of Metropolitan Washington, directing educational retreats and summer camps. Educational background includes two Bachelor of Science degrees from The Ohio State University, focusing on human dimensions in natural resources.
