Charlotte Key MCIPD has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. In 2008, they worked as a Senior HR Advisor at Barkers Group, providing HR support and advising on complex restructures, recruitment, and training programs. In 2009, they joined Penna as a Senior HR Business Partner, where they were part of the Senior Leadership Team and provided strategic HR advice. Their responsibilities included employee relations, performance management, training and development, and leading people projects. Charlotte then became the HR Manager at Penna before moving on to their current role as the Head of HR and now People Experience Director at Smyle. Charlotte Key MCIPD has a diverse education history spanning various institutions and fields of study. Moving forward, Charlotte pursued a Bachelor of Science degree at Cardiff University/Prifysgol Caerdydd, majoring in Sociology and Education, during the period of 1996 to 1999. Later on, they undertook studies in human resources, first at City and Islington College where they obtained a Certificate in Personnel in 2004. Charlotte then continued their education at the University of East London from 2004 to 2007, earning a Postgraduate Diploma in HRM.

In more recent years, Charlotte Key MCIPD further expanded their knowledge and skills by completing various shorter courses. In 2021, they engaged with MOE Foundation to develop their coaching abilities. Additionally, they underwent training with Mental Health First Aid England to enhance their understanding of mental health.
