Pepe Velasco has extensive work experience in the creative and design industry. Pepe is currently working at Smyle as an Experiential Creative Director, a position they have held since May 2022. Before joining Smyle, Pepe worked as a Creative Lead at the same company from September 2019 to April 2022. Prior to that, they were the Head of Creative at Timebased from July 2016 to September 2019. Pepe also worked as a 3D Lead Designer at George P Johnson from September 2013 to June 2016 and as a Senior Designer at Leading Edge Exhibits from November 2012 to July 2013. Before gaining experience at specific companies, Pepe worked as an Interior Designer from July 2006 to October 2010, where they were responsible for designing retail interior architecture and custom exhibition stands. Pepe also worked as a Visual Database Designer from July 2003 to May 2006, designing and modeling a low poly database for a simulator. Early in their career, Pepe worked as a 3D Visualizer from September 1998 to February 2006, where they developed complete 3D projects and created photorealistic visualizations for a wide variety of architectural projects.
Pepe Velasco attended the Oviedo Art & Crafts School from 1995 to 1998, where they obtained a degree in Interior Design. In addition, they have obtained several certifications in various fields. In July 2020, Pepe obtained certifications in "Advanced Techniques for Architects," "An In-Depth look at Real-Time Rendering," and "Comprehending Projects and File Structure" from Epic Games. In June 2020, they obtained a certification in "Introducing Unreal Engine" from the same institution. Pepe also obtained a certification in "Introduction to Twinmotion" from Epic Games in April 2020. Furthermore, in March 2011, they received the "First Certificate in English in ESOL International" from the University of Cambridge.
