Walaa AlSalmi

Walaa AlSalmi has worked in various roles, starting as a librarian at the Foreign Service Institute in 2010. Walaa then worked as Information Resource Center Director at the US Embassy, Muscat starting in 2011, where they maintained the embassy's social media websites and developed and maintained the embassy website. Walaa became a student at CodeStack Academy in 2021, and completed a 12-month full time software engineering program covering topics such as HTML5, CSS3, SASS, JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, React, Unity 3d, C#, Android and iOS Mobile development. Walaa also worked as an intern at CodeStack - SJCOE in 2022. Later in 2022, they worked as an Associate Software Engineer and a Software Engineer at The Engineered Innovation Group. Currently, they are set to work at Snap! Mobile as a Software Engineer starting in 2023.

Walaa AlSalmi holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English from George Mason University. Walaa also earned a Master's degree in Library Science from Indiana University Bloomington. In terms of certifications, they have obtained certifications in Graph Developer - Associate from Apollo GraphQL, Professional Scrum Master(TM) I (PSM I) from Scrum.org, and completed courses in Bootstrap, C#, and HTML from Codecademy.
