Chongxiao Cao

Chongxiao "Shawn" Cao, PhD, is a highly skilled machine learning engineer with significant experience in deep learning infrastructure and software development. Currently serving as a Staff Machine Learning Engineer at Snap Inc., Chongxiao focuses on deep learning training core initiatives. Prior to this, Chongxiao worked at Uber as a Software Engineer, leading the development of deep learning training infrastructure on the Michelangelo Machine Learning Platform. Previously, Chongxiao contributed to the development of an MPI library for the Aurora Supercomputer at Intel Corporation and designed a high-performance recommendation system during an internship at Samsung Research America. Educational qualifications include a PhD and minor in Computational Science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, alongside degrees in System Engineering and Automation Engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University.
