Yihua Chen

Yihua Chen is a seasoned professional in machine learning and software engineering with extensive experience in high-profile tech companies. Currently serving as a Senior Principal Machine Learning Engineer at Snap Inc. since November 2024, Yihua Chen focuses on ads ranking and machine learning strategies. Previously at Google from April 2012 to October 2024, Yihua Chen held roles including Senior Staff Software Engineer & Manager, leading a team dedicated to YouTube Ads retrieval modeling, as well as conducting research in multitask learning and mobile assistant technology. Yihua Chen also has a solid academic foundation, holding a PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Washington, and a Master of Science degree in the same field from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Additionally, Yihua Chen has contributed to research both as a Research Assistant at the University of Washington and as an intern at Microsoft.
