Emma Whibley has a wealth of work experience in the finance field. Emma began their career in 2006 as an Analyst in Business Risk Services at Grant Thornton LLP in Canada. In this role, they assisted in the planning, execution, and completion of internal audits, business process control reviews, and other service offerings in a variety of industries. Emma then moved to Grant Thornton LLP in 2007 as a Senior Associate in Assurance & Business Advisory Services. In this role, they ran client engagements from start to finish, supervised, trained, and mentored associates and interns, and worked with audit teams to identify and resolve client issues. In 2011, they took on the role of Accounting Manager at Lot18. In 2013, they became the Head of FP&A, North America and Finance Manager, USA at Hailo. Emma then moved to Deliveroo in 2015 as Commercial Finance Director. In 2018, they took on the role of Finance Director at both Elvie and Garrets International. Most recently, in 2020, they became Finance at Meals For The NHS, and in 2021 they took on the role of Chief Financial Officer at Snoop.
Emma Whibley attended the British Columbia Institute of Technology from 2004 to 2006, where they earned a Diploma in Financial Management and Taxation. Emma then attended Royal Roads University from 2006 to 2007, earning a BComm in Commerce. From 2007 to 2010, they attended the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia, earning a CA. In 2010, they attended the CFA Institute for Finance. In 2011, they attended the WSET International Wine Center in New York and earned an Intermediate Certificate in Wine.
