Rahul Roy

Rahul Roy has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades in the field of technology and engineering. Rahul is currently working as a Platform Architect (Customer Success) at Snorkel AI. Prior to this, they worked for Comcast from 2019 to 2023 as a Principal Architect (DevX Platforms), where they were responsible for developing a high-performance blobstore for the Cloud Foundry platform, implementing global ingress with Istio Service Mesh, and ensuring platform monitoring and observability.

Before joining Comcast, Rahul worked for QVC from 2003 to 2019. During this time, they held multiple roles, including Senior DevOps Engineer, IT Platforms, and Senior Engineer - Technology Engineering. Rahul was involved in various projects such as automating CI/CD pipelines, setting up a Selenium grid using Apache Mesos and Docker containers, and performing performance engineering for the Adobe AEM platform. Rahul also played a key role in performance tuning and architecture for IBM WebSphere Commerce on different platforms.

Prior to QVC, Rahul worked for The Vanguard Group from 1996 to 2001 as a Senior Consultant. Rahul was responsible for creating web-enabled infrastructure, troubleshooting applications on J2EE servers, and porting C-code from AIX to Solaris. Rahul also worked as a Senior Consultant at Bluestone Software during the same period, where they specialized in UNIX systems, application performance tuning, and maintaining web development and production environments.

Rahul's career started in 1994 as a UNIX Systems Engineer at Mercantile Software Systems Inc./ Harte-Hanks.

Rahul Roy's education history includes a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Rourkela. Rahul also attended Lawrence School, Sanawar, but no specific degree or field of study is mentioned for that institution.
