The Long Beach Campfield is a four-season campground on Washington’s Long Beach Peninsula. The Campfield brings the principles of Snow Peak camping to life, offering a reimagined outdoor experience with thoughtfully designed spaces to slow down, connect and be with nature. The Campfield Night Supervisor is an essential position that provides security, safety, and excellent guest experiences outside of core operating hours. Reporting to the Campfield Facilities Manager, this position independently manages guest check-in, maintains operating procedures, responds to guest needs, and completes nightly facilities maintenance processes, including laundry and gear maintenance.

This position is a full-time hourly, non-exempt position on-site at the Campfield and reports to the Campfield Facilities Manager. 

POSITION DETAILS

  • Pay rate: $22.50 - $27.50 per hour
  • Schedule: 40 hours per week, required shift availability 8:00pm - 6:00am

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Manage check-in and check-out functions at the Gatehouse, greet guests and provide an elevated, upbeat, welcoming atmosphere  
  • Serve as primary point of contact for emergency needs onsite during shift and execute reporting procedures to alert management team 
  • Provide orientation information and directions to guests, including speaking knowledgably about Snow Peak gear, Campfield operations, food, outdoor recreation, and the local environment  
  • Respond to guest questions, complaints, and urgent needs in a calm and helpful manner, assuring customer satisfaction 

Safety & Security 

  • Execute all evening closing procedures 
  • Monitor the security system and complete physical site walks of the grounds throughout the night to ensure the general security of the Campfield site 
  • Respond to emergency or security events quickly and with guest safety as the highest priority 
  • Make decisions that result in positive guest experiences and in the best interests of the Campfield facility 
  • File log reports for each shift reviewing any key events or onsite needs to communicate to full team 
  • Maintain and contribute to safety and security procedures, suggesting improvements to manager 
  • Ensure that health, safety, and security rules are followed 
  • Execute closing procedures, including securing the Ofuro Spa  
  • Complete overnight Gatehouse functions, including laundry, gear maintenance, and facilities projects 
  • Complete site walks to review facilities and grounds status and create workorders for issues/needs occurring overnight 
  • Contribute to a positive working environment by being, approachable, respectful, responsible, and team oriented 

Performs other related duties and projects as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • 2 years experience in hospitality or facilities management 
  • Previous experience with site security and emergency management preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a driving record check

  • Extraordinary customer service

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods standing 
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds 
  • High stress levels may occur 

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPR certification 
  • Experience with Japanese language and culture
  • Experience in the outdoor, retail, or apparel industries
