Dr Spencer Dando

Dr Spencer Dando has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Dr Spencer currently serves as the VP Middle East & Africa at Snowfall, a forward-thinking technology company focused on innovating how travel operators engage with their technology partners. In this role, they ensure customer satisfaction by leveraging technology to enhance travel experiences.

Prior to Snowfall, Dr Dando held the position of Director of WiFi and Advertising at du from 2016 to 2021. In this role, they led the WiFi UAE initiative and was responsible for strategy setting, site deployment, and monetizing the network through advertising sales.

Before du, Dr Dando worked as the Regional Director MEA at Icomera AB, a leading provider of vehicle-to-shore connectivity solutions. Dr Spencer focused on new transport opportunities in the GCC, Jordan, Egypt, Iran, and Turkey.

Dr Dando also held the position of Regional Director, MEAA at Nomad Digital from 2008 to 2014. During this time, they focused on identifying new transport opportunities in the Middle East, Asia, and Africa.

Prior to their roles in the telecommunications and technology sectors, Dr Dando served as the Senior Manager WiMAX & WiFi at du from 2006 to 2008, where they were involved in the launch and management of WiMAX and WiFi products for public and private access.

In addition, Dr Dando worked as a Solution Sales Manager at The Cloud from 2003 to 2006 and as a Sales Manager at Ericsson UK from 2000 to 2003.

Their early career experience includes a role as a Product Chemist at Johnson Matthey from 1996 to 1999, where they managed the refining, production, supply, and selling of precious metal products.
