Aurick Qiao

Aurick Qiao serves as the Chief Executive Officer, Head of Engineering, and Principal Software Engineer at Petuum, Inc. since August 2016. Prior to this, Aurick Qiao was a PhD student at Carnegie Mellon University between September 2014 and August 2021. Aurick Qiao's internship experience includes roles at Dropbox, Microsoft, Facebook, and imo.im, where significant contributions were made in backend infrastructure, APIs for game control, performance profiling tools, and mobile VoIP service development. Aurick Qiao holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Combinatorics & Optimization from the University of Waterloo.
