Prakash C Ghimire

Prakash C Ghimire, PhD, serves as the Energy Sector Leader and Project Manager at SNV since August 2005, overseeing a diverse range of energy projects, including the EU-GGCA+/EnDev supported ReCIC project in Rwanda and the Mekong Clean Cooking Project. Previous roles include leadership positions in renewable energy projects across various countries and sectors, with responsibilities spanning energy policy formulation, project planning, capacity building, and financial management. Ghimire's earlier experience encompasses project management for World Vision International and consultancy roles for organizations such as The World Bank and Helvetas, specializing in natural resources management and renewable energy technologies. Academically, Ghimire holds a PhD in Sustainable and Renewable Energy and advanced degrees in Natural Resources Management and Civil Engineering.
