Shang Su is an accomplished academic and research professional with extensive experience in the field of cellular and molecular biology. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Louisiana State University since August 2024, Shang has also held the position of Research Assistant Professor at The University of Toledo since July 2020 and previously worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the same institution as well as at Van Andel Institute. In the industry, Shang was a Senior Scientific Consultant and Project Managing Scientist at Abmart, where responsibilities included designing scientific proposals and providing technical support for monoclonal antibody applications. Additionally, Shang contributes as a volunteer for the SOAR Foundation since September 2007, after receiving scholarships from the organization from 2000 to 2007, and has previously engaged with Zhihui, a non-profit offering training to college students. Educationally, Shang holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Tsinghua University.
