Bob Marinier

Research Scientist at Soar Technologies

Bob Marinier has a diverse work experience in the field of research and development. Bob started their career as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Wisconsin in 2001. Bob then worked at TempWorks Software as a Programmer, where they conducted research and development and created custom tools from 1998 to 2002. Later, they joined the University of Michigan as a Graduate Student Research Assistant, focusing on research and development on the Soar cognitive architecture, designing and maintaining interfaces in multiple languages from 2002 to 2008. Bob also worked as a Research Fellow at the University of Michigan, specifically in robotics and emotion research. During this time, they also served as a Postdoctoral Fellow/Associate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Most recently, they have been working as a Research Scientist at Soar Technology since 2009.

Bob Marinier completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1997 to 2001. Bob then pursued their Master's degree in Computer Science specializing in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Michigan from 2002 to 2004. Continuing their academic journey, they obtained their PhD in Computer Science with a focus on Artificial Intelligence from the University of Michigan between 2004 and 2008.
