Lauren Glenister has a diverse work background in various fields. They started their career as a Pool Manager at the City of League City in 2011. Later, they worked as a Student Assistant in Campus Safety at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, where they transcribed case reports, relayed information, and trained new assistants. At the same university, they also served as a Graduate Student Assistant in Institutional Research, conducting data analysis, formulating reports, coordinating surveys, and ensuring customer requirements were met.

In 2013, Lauren joined NASA as a Controls, Analysis & System Design Intern, where they investigated and reconstructed an X-15 accident, focusing on human factor concerns and the relationship between humans and adaptive control systems.

Since 2015, Lauren has been working at Soar Technology, Inc. They started as a Research and Analysis Intern, and later progressed to the role of Human Factors Engineer. Currently, Lauren serves as a Research Associate, and as of October 2021, they hold the position of Research Scientist.

Lauren Glenister pursued their education in a chronological manner, starting with their Bachelor of Science degree in Human Factors and Psychology (with a minor in Aerospace Life Sciences) from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. This period spanned from 2009 to 2014. Following this, they went on to complete their Master's of Science degree in Software Engineering at the same institution, from 2014 to 2017. Lastly, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Modeling and Simulation from the University of Central Florida, completing it between 2019 and 2022.
